The kids were scared of the firefighter, but we learned it is really important to not be afraid of them if you are ever in a fire...
They were even able to practice a mock fire escape.

The squad truck made a call during the tour, red lights and sirens!!! We even saw how long it took for them to get out of the drive way, since no one would stop for them:(

Here is our Firefighter hero~ when he's not spoiling the kids with Reese's Cups. Poppy(he's the one on the left) This picture was taken right after a gas explosion occurred while all four of them where still in the house... We are so very thankful they all, especially my daddy, came out unscathed... Hearing stories like that just make it all the more real how dangerous their jobs really are, and how they give so much of themselves for the lives and properties of others. Thank you Poppy, my Daddy, for being our hero! We are so very proud of you, Poppy!
